SOPHIA MACMASTER
(b. 1999) is an Atlanta-based Palestinian-American visual artist, specializing in painting. Represented in their work is the beauty of being Palestinian, feeling every generation flow through them as they create. MacMaster’s intent is to preserve Palestinian joy as it undergoes constant threat of eradication. Their journey in painting began painting images of jewelry and creating metallic shine on the canvas. This technique continues to be present in their work today.
In 2021, they received their BFA in Fashion Design with a minor in Fashion Marketing & Merchandising from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
